KIRBY CIVIC AUDITORIUM Telephone (336) 597-1766. The Kirby Civic Auditorium, located on Main Street in uptown Roxboro, Person County, is a county-owned facility for both public and county use. Programs such as Community Theater, Children's Theater, concerts, workshops, public speaker performances, talent competitions, dance recitals, non-profit organizational fund-raisers and theatrical performances. The total seating capacity of the auditorium is 866.
THE KIRBY GALLERY - Telephone (336) 597-1709. The Kirby Gallery is our newest facility, located in uptown Roxboro beside the Kirby Civic Auditorium. The Kirby Gallery is the home of our Cultural Arts Division and the Person County Arts Council. Open to the public on everyday except Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, The Kirby Gallery will play host to many art shows, ticket sales, and events for Person County.
HUCK SANSBURY RECREATION COMPLEX The main offices of the Parks and Recreation Department staff are located here in the basement of the gymnasium. The telephone numbers for this site are (336) 597-1755 for the office and (336) 597-1764 for the gymnasium and concession stand. This is our main park located on Morgan Street in Roxboro. Features at this site include a lighted .28 mile walking track, gymnasium, one lighted athletic field (combination of baseball/softball and soccer), playground equipment, four lighted tennis courts and a picnic shelter.
HUCK SANSBURY ANNEX (OLD SOCIAL SERVICES BUILDING) - Located adjacent to the Huck Sansbury Gym on Morgan Street, the annex contains rooms used for exercise, summer day camp and various other activities.
ALLENSVILLE PARK . This site is located on Gentry Ridge Road. There are two ballfields here, one of which is lighted, a picnic shelter, a .25 mile lighted walking track and also playground equipment.
BETHEL HILL This site is located at the Bethel Hill Charter School. There is one youth baseball/softball field, lighted, at this site along with expanded playground equipment, one gymnasium and a paved and lighted walking track.
BUSHY FORK PARK Telephone (336) 597-1762. This site, located on Hwy 49 South, includes two baseball/softball fields, both lighted, a picnic shelter, one gymnasium and a lighted .25 mile walking track. Playground equipment has been added to this site.
EARL BRASHER - Soccer field located at Earl Bradsher
HELENA Telephone (336) 364-8117. This site is located at the Old Helena Elementary School on Helena-Moriah Road in Timberlake. There is one baseball/softball field, lighted, at this site along with a paved and lighted .25 mile walking track and a gymnasium.
HURDLE MILLS PARK Telephone (336) 364-2830. This site is located on Hurdle Mills Road in Hurdle Mills. This site includes one lighted softball/baseball field, a paved and lighted .25 mile walking track, picnic shelter and playground equipment.
LONGHURST PARK Telephone (336) 597-1767. This site is located on Park Street in Roxboro. At this site you will find a lighted baseball field, a picnic shelter, a lighted outdoor volleyball court and playground equipment.
MAYO PARK (336) 597-7806. This is a 120 acre site that includes picnic shelters, restroom facilities, hiking trails, camping areas, playground equipment, etc.
MT. TIRZAH PARK This site, located on Mt. Harmony Church Road, presently includes one lighted baseball/softball field. Added improvements include a paved and lighted walking track (.25 miles), a picnic shelter and playground equipment.
OLIVE HILL PARK Telephone (336) 597-1768. Located on Hwy 57 North, this site includes one lighted softball/baseball field, a paved and lighted .25 mile walking track, horseshoe pits, outdoor volleyball court and a gymnasium along with playground equipment. There is also a picnic shelter at this site.
